Carleton tops women's soccer in season finale

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carleton College used a late goal by Clare O'Connor to defeat St. Olaf 1-0.

O'Connor's game-winning goal came in the 80th minute of the second half and it was assisted by Sophie Wood.

St. Olaf was unable to score, but they came close when a shot by Monica Sharrat sailed just wide of the net.

The Oles ended their season with a record of 9-7-2 (3-6-2 MIAC), including a 5-4-0 record at home.

Carleton finished the season at 11-5-2 (8-2-1 MIAC) and will move on to the MIAC playoffs beginning next Wednesday.
