Oles, Auggies tie again

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf and Augsburg College played to a 4-4 men's hockey tie on Friday night, marking the seventh straight game in the series that ended without a winner.

John Paulson's goal just inside the blue line tied the game at four in the 14th minute of the third period for the Oles (1-5-1, 1-1-1 MIAC).

Critter Nagurski scored twice for the visiting Auggies, including a tally that gave Augsburg a 3-2 lead.

St. Olaf's Jeff Budish scored an unassisted, shorthanded breakaway goal to make it 3-3.

The Oles jumped to a 1-0 lead on Nick Stalock's goal in the fourth minute of the first period.

St. Olaf and Augsburg will meet in the series finale tomorrow night in Minneapolis.
