Women's basketball falls to Auggies 72-66

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Michelle Richter had 23 points to lead Augsburg College to a 72-66 women's basketball win over St. Olaf on Wednesday night.
St. Olaf, which had an early 17-4 lead, was led by Danielle Stoermer's 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Auggies (1-4, 1-1 MIAC) got 15 points apiece from Katie LaGrave and Brietta Schluender. Kristina Lurken added 10 points and seven assists in the win.
Augsburg erased St. Olaf's big lead with a 15-2 run in midway through the first half.
St. Olaf led 61-57 after Laura Jorgensen nailed a three-pointer with 4:57 to play. The Auggies, however, went on a 10-1 run over the next 4:12 to secure the win.
Christina Sampson chipped in 14 points in a losing effort for the Oles.
St. Olaf had 23 turnovers, while Augsburg had 14.
