NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Mike Hosfield's power play goal with 1:32 left in overtime led Gustavus Adolphus College to a 4-3 win over St. Olaf on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
All four Gustavus (10-6-1, 8-0-0 MIAC) goals were power play goals.
St. Olaf (4-11-2, 3-3-2 MIAC) claimed a 3-2 lead when Matt LaBombard scored a rebound goal with 10:32 left in regulation.
The Gusties, however, got a power play goal from James Leathers less than two minutes later to send the game to overtime.
St. Olaf led 1-0 and 2-1 on goals from Casey Dynan. Dynan scored in the opening and closing minutes of the first period.
The loss was the eighth one-goal defeat for St. Olaf. All but one of the 17 games the Oles have played in has been decided by two goals or less.
