Ole men over Auggies 90-74

MINNEAPOLIS - Jon Bain had all of his game-best 18 points in the second half to help St. Olaf to a 90-74 win over Augsburg College on Saturday afternoon.

Mark Bergstrom added 16 points, Chad Norberg 14 and Jon Butala 13 for the Oles (9-10, 6-8 MIAC).

Norberg scored 10 straight points for St. Olaf in a key run midway through the second half, including back-to-back three pointers.

Femi Solaja had 16 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort for the Auggies (8-10, 5-8 MIAC).

The Oles are now in a three-way tie for fifth place, with Saint Mary's and Carleton, in the MIAC with six league games remaining. St. Olaf hosts Saint Mary's on Wednesday.
