NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Andy Ockuly's goal at the 0:49 mark of the third period proved to be the game-winner as the St. Olaf men's hockey team defeated Hamline University 3-1 at Northfield Ice Arena.

Jeff Budish assisted on the game-winner for the Oles (7-12-2, 6-4-2 MIAC), who saved a series split with the Pipers (7-12-0, 3-7-0 MIAC).

Matt LaBombard scored off a John Paulson feed early in the first period and St. Olaf held a 1-0 lead for much of the game.

Ockuly's goal gave the Oles a 2-0 advantage.

Hamline got an even-strength, unassisted goal from Jimmy VanAsch at 3:07 of the third.

Nick Stalock added an insurance power-play goal for the Oles at 16:10 to seal the win.
