Oles beat Bethel twice behind big day from Terrazas, Schmiesing

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Chris Terrazas was a combined 5-for-8 with a homerun and Andrew Schmiesing 3-for-5 with two homers as the St. Olaf baseball team swept Bethel University 11-6 and 7-4 on Monday afternoon.

Game One: St. Olaf 11, Bethel 6
Schmiesing belted a two-out grand slam in the second inning and was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and three runs. Terrazas homered and was 3-for-4.

Andy Dimick was touched for five runs in the first three innings, but recovered and allowed one run in the final five innings in the complete game win.

Game Two: St. Olaf 7, Bethel 4
Terrazas and Brian Astry each went 2-for-4 and Schmiesing hit a solo homer.

Paul Shrewsbury got the complete game win for the Oles (23-2, 11-1 MIAC), who got also got a solo homerun from Patrick Wadzinski.

Dana Hegman was 3-for-4 in the loss and Kirby Carr hit a first-inning homer for Bethel (14-16, 4-8 MIAC).
