Olson's doubles lead Oles to Split

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Paige Olson went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBIs as the St. Olaf fastpitch team split a doubleheader with Carleton College on Thursday afternoon.

Game One: Carleton 3, St. Olaf 2
Carleton's Mary Jo Long threw a two-hit complete game and Rhemi Abrams-Fuller went 2-for-3 and scored what became the game-winning run in the sixth inning after she led the inning off with a single.

Michael and Elise Johnson each had two hits and an RBI for the Knights.

Emily Hennig homered for the Oles in the loss.

Game Two: St. Olaf 11, Carleton 6
St. Olaf put up four runs in the third inning, two on one of Olson's doubles.

The Oles were helped by seven Carleton errors.

St. Olaf starter Erin Johnson worked five innings to get the win and Jeanette Strommen pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
