Ole women down St. Kate 4-1

Janae Fabini (Fy, Duluth, Minn.) had two goals and Lindsay Boeser (Fy, Lakeville, Minn.) a goal and an assist as the St. Olaf women's hockey team downed St. Kate's 4-1 Saturday night in Northfield.
The win was the 14th of the year for the Oles, breaking the school record set last winter.
All scoring took place in the first period.
The Wildcats jumped to a 1-0 lead on an unassisted Angela Johnson goal at the 4:29 mark.
St. Olaf responded with four straight in the final 12 minutes of the period. Fabini scored first at the 8:16 mark, folled by Susannah Brokl's (So., Minneapolis/Breck) goal four minutes later.
Fabini added her second tally of the night at the 15:31 mark before Boeser added the final goal with 1:26 to play in the first frame.
St. Olaf outshot the Wildcats 41-15.
The Oles (14-8-1, 12-4-1 MIAC) will play at second-place St. Thomas in the semi-finals of the MIAC playoffs Thursday. St. Olaf tied the Toms at home Dec. 3, but lost 4-1 Dec. 4 in Mendota Heights.
