Gusties spoil senior night for women's hoops

Bri Monahan had 19 points and Jess Vadnais had 18 to lead Gustavus Adolphus College to a 75-50 women's basketball win over St. Olaf on senior night on Wednesday in Northfield, Minn.

Natalie Rigelman had nine points and 10 rebounds to lead the Oles (4-13 MIAC, 7-15) on senior night, which honored her and teammate Christine Schwichtenberg.

The Gusties had a 19-4 run in the final minutes of the first and opening of the second half to take a 43-28 advantage with 16:31 to play.

St. Olaf fell behind 23-12, but rallied to tie the game at 24-24.

Holly Grimsrud added nine points in the loss for the Oles.
