Gustavus over men's basketball 63-54

Phil Sowden's 20 points led Gustavus Adolphus College to a 63-54 win over the St. Olaf men's basketball team on Wednesady in Northfield, Minn.

Mark Bergstrom had 14 points to lead the Oles (7-11 MIAC, 9-14).

Gustavus (11-6, 16-6) led by 37-34 with 13:07 to play, but they extended the lead to 15 when St. Olaf missed four of thier next five field goals and had five turnovers in the next seven minutes.

Adam TeBrake added 15 and Trevor Wittwer 14 points for the Gusties in the win.

For St. Olaf, Jon Bain had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Seve Banick had 11 points.
