Alpine women take top three spots, win in Ripley, Mich.

RIPLEY, Mich. - Kayla Johnson took first place in the slalom and Sarah Bottjen in the giant slalom to help the St. Olaf women's alpine ski team win the USCSA Race at Mount Ripley this weekend.
The Oles took the top three in the slalom with Hennessey Wadell coming in second and Laura Mensell finishing third.
In the GS, Oles took the top three - Bottjen, Wadell, Johnson - and five of the top seven spots with Laurie Thatcher coming in sixth and Laura Mensell taking seventh.
St. Olaf competes next this weekend at the Lusten Mid-Am in Lusten, Minn. .
