DI Iowa State, DII St. Cloud State swim past Oles

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's swimming and diving team lost a pair of non-conference meets, to Division I Iowa State on Friday and Division II St. Cloud State on Saturday.

In Friday's meet with the Cyclones, the Oles had second place finishes by Kjersten Grinde in the 100 Breast, Aly Janzen in the 200 Free,

Jen Marzolf was third in the 200 Fly, as was Annie Gatzlaff in the 200 Back.

Alyssa Germeroth also collected third place finishes for St. Olaf, as second runner up on the 1- and 3-meter boards.

Saturday, Grinde won the 100 Breast while Alli Beardsley was second. Beardsley got two wins of her own, taking the 200 Breast and 400 Mixed IM.

Marzolf was second in the 100 Fly, as was Gatzlaff in the 200 Back.

St. Olaf had third place finishes from Amanda Rorem in the 50 Free, Gatzlaff in the 100 Back

The Oles compete at the University of St. Thomas on Friday at 6 p.m.
