Women's track third at Border Battle

MENOMONIE, Wis. - The St. Olaf women's track team scored 122 points in Saturday's meet at UW-Stout to finish third in a field of four teams.

The Ole women had three individual wins, including Jenna Carlson's 10:39.63 3000m finish and Amie Fillmore's 3.31m pole vault.

In the 5000m, St. Olaf's Jackie Kelly finished first in 18:36.98, followed by teammate Michaela McLaughlin who ran 19:57.87 for second place.

The University of St. Thomas' Carol Comp won both the weight throw and shot put, while teammate Nikki Arola finished first in the 200m and 400m to lead the Tommies to the win.

The Tommies' 212 points were rounded out by UW-Stout's 149, St. Olaf's 122, and UW-Superior's 105.
