NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Andy Ockuly, playing his first game since the Oles' opening weekend in November, had a goal and an assist to lead St. Olaf to a 4-1 men's hockey win over No. 4 University of St. Thomas on Friday night.

Ockuly, who assisted on the game-winning goal and added a game-clinching score later in the third period, was diagnosed with illness in November that led to surgery and a 22-day stay in the hospital. He lost 40 pounds and spent six weeks recovering.

Nick Stalock also had a goal and an assist for the Oles (9-11-4, 6-6-3 MIAC), who derailed the Tommies hopes for an conference title with the win.

UST (16-6-2, 10-4-1 MIAC) could have clinched an outright conference title with a sweep, but now needs a win and a loss or tie by Hamline to get a share of the crown.

Nick Krauss made 13 of his 23 saves in the scoreless second period to earn the win in net for St. Olaf.

The teams meet in the series finale tomorrow in Mendota Heights.
