Young Oles fare well at NCAA's

MIAMI, Ohio - Alyssa Germeroth was 13th on the 1-meter diving board to lead three St. Olaf participants in the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.

Germeroth, a sophomore who will dive in Saturday's 3-meter event, collected a score of 382.5 on Thursday in the 1-meter competition.

The Oles also had two first years in the championships - Alli Beardsley and Kjersten Grinde.

Beardsley was 28th in the 200 Individual Medley on Thursday and 20th in the 400 IM on Friday.

Grinde was 22nd in the 100 Breaststroke.

Each will compete in tomorrow's 200 Breast.
