Westby second in 100 Breast, Meyer fourth in 100 Back at NCAA's

OXFORD, Ohio - Nelson Westby came within a hundredth of a second of winning his second national individual title and Adam Meyer finished fourth in the 100 Back to help St. Olaf to sixth place through the second of three days at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.

Pavel Buyanov of the College of Staten Island averted Westby for a championship by one one-hundredth of a second and Buyanovıs time of 54.49 broke a Div. III national record, while Westby touched at 54.50.

Westby's time broke his school record by over a second and a half (1.74).

In Thursday's 200 IM title swim, Westby broke his school record by 2.42 seconds.

Meyer's time in the 100 Back - 50.74 - broke the school record as well, topping Justin Bradley's 1984 time of 51:34.
