Men's tennis drops close match to Tommies

ST. PAUL, Minn.--The St. Olaf men's tennis team was narrowly defeated by St. Thomas on Wednesday, 5-4, in St. Paul.

Drew Erie picked up a win for the Oles in second singles, 7-5, 6-2. David Narvaez also won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

Erie and Narvaez teamed up in doubles to come away with the victory, 8-4. Will Mitchell and Nick Hubbard-Peters won in doubles action as well, 8-5.

The loss drops St. Olaf to 4-5 on the season and 3-4 in conference play. The Oles will travel across the river to take on Carleton on Thursday with a 4 p.m. start.
