Erie, Narvaez, and Pray earn all-conference honors

FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2008 - ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf senior Drew Erie and juniors David Narvaez and Ian Pray were named to the MIAC men's tennis all conference team on Friday.

Erie finished the season with a 5-11 overall singles record, 3-5 in the MIAC. Erie also paired up with Narvaez in doubles, ending with a 5-10 record. Erie was also named to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Narvaez, in addition to his success in doubles with Erie, finished with a 7-8 singles record, and an impressive 6-2 record against conference opponents. He also had a four-match winning streak in singles action.

Ian Pray completed his singles season with a 7-7 record, including a five-match win streak to begin the season. Pray also teamed up with Nick Crnkovich in doubles, ending with a 3-11 record.

The Oles ended the season with a MIAC playoff berth, but lost to Bethel in the first round, 6-0.
