Colorado College spoils men's soccer opener

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Colorado College netted three second half goals on the way to a 4-1 non-conference men's soccer win over St. Olaf at Rolf Mellby Field on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers (1-0-0, 0-0-0 SCAC) led 1-0 on Trevor Cobb's unassisted goal at 28:19 and took that advantage to the half before scoring twice more, at the 56th and 73rd minutes, to lead 3-0.

St. Olaf (0-1-0, 0-0-0 MIAC) closed the gap to 3-1 on John Zietlow's tally at 78:05 mark on an assist from Barrett Kennedy.

The Tigers, who had goals from four different players, then added an insurance goal in the 80th minute.

St. Olaf will meet Lake Forest College tomorrow at Carleton College at 1 p.m.
