Book gets 600th career win as Oles coast to two wins

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf volleyball team earned a pair of three-set wins, over Northwestern College (25-17, 25-12, 26-24) and Martin Luther College (25-20, 25-13, 25-16), to get co-head coach Cindy Book her 600th and 601st career wins.
Kim Smisek had 11 kills in each game, hitting .474 and .444, to lead the Oles to the three-game sweeps.
St. Olaf hit a combined .228 in the wins while holding opponents to .011.
Book, in her 16th year as head coach at St. Olaf, holds a 601-289 career record in her time at Keene State, Bethel and St. Olaf.
She has led St. Olaf to seven NCAA tournaments, including a semifinal appearance in 1996.
St. Olaf will play twice tomorrow at Carleton - against Buena Vista at 11 a.m. and Crown College at 1 p.m.
