Volleyball wins two at River Falls Tournament

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Kim Smisek had 16 kills in each match to lead St. Olaf to a three-set win over the College of St. Catherine and a four-set win over Bethany Lutheran College on Friday at the Wis.-River Falls Invitational.

In the win over St. Kate's (25-23, 25-21, 25-16) Smisek hit .375, while Janet Sully and Alyssa Williams added 12 digs each.

Smisek followed with a .307 hitting effort in the nightcap victory over Bethany (25-14, 25-17, 24-26, 25-22) while Jess Levin added 15 kills (.417).

St. Olaf is off to its first 6-0 start since 2001, when the Oles won their first 13.

Tomorrow, St. Olaf will meet Buena Vista and Bethel University to complete the event.
