Oles top Northwestern

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Scott Crider netted the only goal of the game in the 61st minute as St. Olaf was able to outlast Northwestern College 1-0 on Saturday.

Crider's goal was assisted by John Zietlow. Zietlow has earned at least one point each game this season as he leads the team with 12 points.

Alex Kuehl held strong in goal for the Oles and used two saves to earn the shutout. Kuehl had some help from his defenders as Ahmed Ali deflected a would-be goal in the 79th minute.

St. Olaf begins conference play at home next Saturday against St. Mary's University.
