Volleyball suffers first loss, rebounds in second round

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - The College of Saint Benedict dealt St. Olaf its first volleyball loss on Friday afternoon before the Oles rebounded with a three-set win over Bethany Lutheran in the nightcap.
Saint Ben's won in straight sets - 26-24, 25-21 and 25-16 - led by Chelsie Sobieck's 12 kills.
Jess Levin was the only player in double digits for kills with ten for the Oles, who hit a season-low .025 in the loss.
St. Olaf coasted to a 25-15, 25-13 and 25-18 win over Bethany Lutheran in the second round.
The Oles played 13 players in the victory and held Bethany to a -.110 hitting percentage.
St. Olaf finishes the tournament, its third in as many weekends, with matches against Hamline and Wis.-Eau Claire tomorrow.
