Men's soccer defeats St. Mary's 6-0, wins fourth straight

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - John Zeitlow tallied his second hat trick of the season and led St. Olaf to a 6-0 victory over St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon in the MIAC season opener for both teams.
Sam Harrington opened the scoring for the Oles in the 13th minute, with a header that was assisted by Phil Kennedy.
John Zietlow scored in the 22nd minute, as he was assisted by Sam Harrington. Zeitlow scored an unassisted goal in the 31st minute to put St. Olaf up 3-0 at half time.
Zietlow completed his hat trick in the 74th minute, as he scored off a cross by Phil Kennedy.
Less than a minute later, Logan Rathjen scored his first goal of the season. His goal was assisted by Jeff Stamp. Rathjen would add another goal with just under three minutes to play, as he scored off a pass from Sam Harrington.
St. Olaf outshot St. Mary's 26-4, as 12 of the Oles shots were on net.
St. Olaf next faces Wartburg College at home on Wednesday.
