Women's cross country fourth at Les Duke Invite

GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Olaf's women's cross country team was fourth at the Les Duke Invite this morning, their first 6 km race of the season.
The Ole's top runner in the event was Annie Knutson, placing 10th in 23:26. Teammate Jenna Carlson crossed the line in 23:45 for 16th place. Michaela McLaughlin, Abby Smith, and Hannah Dennis rounded out the scoring squad for the team.
Wartburg College won the meet, scoring 104 points, while Bethel University's Marie Borner was the overall winner in 22:08. Carleton College was second with 141 points, and Bethel third with 142. St. Olaf scored 144 to finish fourth.
The Oles will race again next Saturday, September 20 as they host the St. Olaf Invitational.
