Wartburg holds off men's soccer

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Wartburg scored two early first half goals and held on to beat St. Olaf 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
Victor Mudzinganyama opened the scoring for the Knights in the 14th minute as he scored off a pass from Nate Hedrington.
Nine minutes later, Kyle McKenna scored a goal to put Wartburg up 2-0 heading into halftime.
The Oles cut the lead to 2-1 when Erik van Mechelen scored off a free kick from John Zietlow with 8:36 to play in the game.
The loss ended a four-game winning steak for St. Olaf.
The Oles next face Macalester College at home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
