Swenson helps Oles past Scots

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Nate Swenson had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory for St. Olaf over Macalester on Saturday afternoon.

Swenson scored on a header off a free kick from John Zietlow in the 19th minute.

Sam Harrington scored eight minutes into the second half to put St. Olaf ahead 2-0. Harrington was assisted by Swenson on the play.

Scott Petesch scored for the Macalester on a penalty kick with 26 seconds left to go in the match.

The Oles outshot the Scots 17-10 in the match, including an 11-2 advantage in the first half.

St. Olaf next plays at Augsburg on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
