Women's cross country second at Ole Invite

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's cross country team hosted the St. Olaf Invitational this morning, where they finished second in a 13 team field.

The Oles' number one runner in the event was Annie Knutson, who finished fourth overall in 23:08. Teammate Jenna Carlson crossed the line in 23:14 for fifth place. Michaela McLaughlin, who finished with a time of 23:39, was St. Olaf's third runner in the top ten. Rounding out the scoring for the team was Abby Smith in 24:15 and Nellie Adams in 24:44.

The St. Olaf Invitational team title went to the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse with 53 points. Second place St. Olaf scored 67 points, and third place University of Minnesota Duluth scored 73.

The St. Olaf women's cross country team will race next Saturday, September 27 at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul.
