Early goals propel St. John's past men's soccer

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint John's scored two goals in the first seven minutes of the match and went on to defeat the St. Olaf men's soccer team 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Brian Horst scored the first goal for the Johnnies in the 3rd minute. Levi Lowell earned the assist on the goal.

Levi Lowell set up the next goal as Austin Neuburger scored off of his corner kick to increase the lead for St. John's to 2-0 in the 7th minute.

Tyler Kodet scored the third goal for SJU in the 29th minute as he headed in a corner kick from Brian Horst.

The victory was the first of the season for St. John's in league play.

St. Olaf next hosts Concordia College on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
