Volleyball rallies, falls in five

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - The St. Olaf volleyball team rallied from down 2-0 to force a fifth set, but fell in the finale 15-8, at No. 22 Saint Ben's on Wednesday night.
In the fifth and deciding set, the host Blazers (17-3, 4-0 MIAC) raced to a 5-1 lead. St. Olaf closed within 10-8, but CSB scored the final five points to secure the win.
Amber Wortz had 17 kills and Emma Jaynes 25 digs to pace Saint Ben's, which has won ten in a row.
Kim Smisek had 15 kills and 14 digs for St. Olaf, while Jess Levin added 14 kills and Alyssa Williams 21 digs in the loss.
The five-set loss was the Oles' fifth of the year (2-5), and marked the fourth straight and eighth loss in the team's tough 11-match stretch.
St. Olaf will play at Concordia College-Moorhead on Friday night at 7 p.m.
