Ruon gets another win as Oles finish second at BluGold Open

COLFAX, Wis. - Dubuol Ruon won the individual crown at UW-Eau Claire's BluGold Open to lead the St. Olaf men's cross country team to a second place finish in the 19-team field.

Ruon, who took the St. Olaf Invitational title on Sept. 20, won the race by 15 seconds with a time of 24:52 on the 8K course.

The Oles missed winning the event by three points behind the University of St. Thomas, which had each of its five scoring runners in the top 25.

St. Olaf had an eighth place run from Cullen O'Neill (25:39), while David Green (25:53) and Jon Lambert (26:08) finished 14th and 23rd.

St. Olaf will run again on Oct. 18 in the Jim Drews Invitational in LaCrosse, Wis.
