NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Matt Frank had 11 receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead visiting Carleton to a 21-7 win over St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon.

Frank had each touchdown catch in the first half, as the Knights (4-0, 2-0 MIAC) raced to a 21-0 lead at the break. His second score came with 1:33 left in the second quarter.

The Carleton win snapped a 11-game St. Olaf winning streak in the series, dating to the 1996 season.

St. Olaf (3-2, 1-2 MIAC) narrowed the gap to 21-7 with Leon Clark's two direct snap runs for 80 yards, the latter a 23-yard scamper to the end zone, with 5:02 left in the third.

The Carleton defense then held St. Olaf on its final five drives of the game, forcing the Oles to turn it over on downs four times. In the game, the Oles were a combined 3-for-19 on third and fourth down conversions.

Carleton held a slight edge in total offense, 335-321, and held the ball for 19:49 in the second half to avert a St. Olaf comeback.

Shane Henfling was 25-for-35 for 262 yards, a touchdowns and interception, for the Knights. His first scoring throw to Frank gave Carleton a 7-0 lead with 8:10 left in the first after St. Olaf quarterback John Haberman lost a fumble at midfield.

The Knights then converted a seven-play, 56-yard drive with 4:47 left, capped a 14-yard connection from Henfling to Steve Ramey.

St. Olaf travels to Bethel University on Saturday, while Carleton hosts Augsburg.

Bethel defeated visiting Saint John's 14-9 on Saturday to move to 1-2 in MIAC play, while Augsburg beat Hamline 24-21.
