Sprangers leads UST past women's soccer

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Erin Sprangers scored two goals as the University of St. Thomas defeated the St. Olaf women's soccer team 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, Sprangers gave the Tommies a 1-0 as she scored her team-high 12th goal of the season in the 56th minute. She was assisted by Emily Burgmeier on the play.

With 19 seconds left, Sprangers scored her 13th goal of the year and second of the match to secure the victory for St. Thomas.

Allie Byron had one save to earn her 9th shutout of the season for the Tommies.

St. Olaf next hosts Carleton on Saturday at 1 p.m.
