Tranvik, Osmondson, Krauss lead Ole men past UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Isak Tranvik scored twice, Bryan Osmondson got the game-winner with 1:13 left, and Nick Krause made 51 saves to lead the visiting St. Olaf men's hockey team past UW-River Falls, 3-1, on Friday night.
Tranvik's first goal came on an assist from Eric Morrow, on a rebound at the 10:41 mark of the first.
UW-River Falls tied it at 1-1 on a Josh Meyer's goal at the 1:43 mark of the third.
Osmondson's goal came off Andy Benson's pass from Thor Josefson. Tranvik then added an empty net score with seven seconds left to seal the win.
The Oles (2-1-0, 0-0-0 MIAC), who were outshot 52-14, were saved by Krauss who got his first win of the early season.
St. Olaf plays UW-Stout tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Buffalo, Minn. The Oles open MIAC play next weekend with a home-and-home series with Saint John's University.
