Men's cross country third at NCAA Div. III Central Region

GRINNELL, Iowa - The St. Olaf men's cross country team finished third in this morning's NCAA Division III Central Region Championships.
St. Olaf finished behind first-place Nebraska Wesleyan (130 points) and second-place St. John's University (139 points) in the race. The team, which placed all five of its scoring runners in the top 60, and all seven in the top 100, finished with a score of 148 points.
First for the Oles in the 26 team race was sophomore Dobuol Ruon, who finished first in the MIAC Championships two weeks ago. Ruon was eighth overall, crossing the line in 25:48.1. Teammate Cullen O'Neill was 18th in 26:10.2. Sophomore Jonathan Lambert and senior David Green were third and fourth for the team, finishing 30th and 32nd, respectively, while junior Jake Marotz rounded out the scoring squad in 27:09.5, good for 60th place.
Winning the race was Luther College's David McKay, with a time of 25:29.2.
The NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships will be held next Saturday, November 22 at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.
