Men's hockey complete sweep of Saint John's

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's hockey team completed their sweep of MIAC opponent Saint John's University with two third period goals to take the win, 2-1.

Saint John's opened with a Jake Hipp goal in the the first period, but were held scoreless the remainder of the contest.

St. Olaf's Isak Tranvik scored on a power play at the 7:14 mark in the third period to tie the game 1-1 and Nick Stalock had the go-ahead tally on an assist from Sam Windsor and Roger Truesdale.

Goaltender Ben Leis had 34 saves on the afternoon for St. Olaf to earn the win.

The Oles will host MIAC opponent Gustavus Adolphus College next Friday at 7 p.m.
