Men's cross country gets bid to NCAA's

INDIANAPOLIS - The St. Olaf men's cross country team received an at large bid to this weekend's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, it was announced on Sunday, after the team finished third at Saturday's Central Regional.

The race will run on Saturday at 11 a.m. at L.S. Ayres Complex in Hanover, Ind.

The Oles won the MIAC Championships on Nov. 1 behind the league's individual champion Dubuol Ruon, who was eighth at the regional on Saturday.

Saint John's, which finished second in Saturday's race, is the only other MIAC school in the 32-team field.

The NCAA appearance is the ninth in school history and the third since 2002.
