Women's basketball drops opener at Hamline

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hamline University claimed a 80-62 women's basketball win over visiting St. Olaf on Tuesday night at Hutton Arena.

Elyse Erickson had 22 points to lead the Oles (0-1, 0-1 MIAC). Erickson was 7-for-12 from the field and 8-of-11 from the line.

Kelsey Oja had a career high 17-point effort and was 4-for-8 from the arc.

The Pipers had four in double-digits.

St. Olaf was within three, at 22-19, late in the first half but the host Pipers went on an 18-4 run to close the frame ahead 40-23.
