Gusties rally for win over visiting Ole women

NEW ULM, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus College erupted for four second period goals in a 6-0 women's hockey win over visiting St. Olaf on Friday night.

The teams skated to a scoreless tie through the first period, but the host Gusties (4-1-0, 3-0-0 MIAC) scored four times in the first ten minutes of the second period.

Allie Schwab had a goal and an assist to lead Gustavus.

St. Olaf goaltender Erin McNamara made a career-best 61 saves in the loss as Gustavus outshot the Oles 67-7.

The teams meet at Northfield Ice Arena tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the series finale.
