Gusties use late surge in win over Ole women

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Gustavus Adolphus College scored the final three goals in a 4-2 women's hockey win over host St. Olaf on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.

St. Olaf led 2-1 on Melissa Sailor's second period goal.

Gustavus, which held a 38-15 advantage in shots, tied the game at two on Mollie Carroll's score at the 2:37 mark of the final period.

The game remained tied until the Gusties' Melissa Mackley scored a pair of shorthanded goals in a 53-second span - at 13:16 and 14:09 - of the third.

St. Olaf is off next weekend. The Oles return to action on Dec. 5 and 6 with a two MIAC home games against Concordia College-Moorhead.
