Host Blugolds too much for Ole women

EAU CLAIRE, Minn. - Heather Witt had 18 points as host UW-Eau Claire rolled to an 80-45 women's basketball win over St. Olaf on Friday night in the first round of the Blugold's Thanksgiving Showcase.

Elyse Erickson had 12 points and Jamie Erdahl ten to lead the Oles (0-2, 0-1 MIAC).

UW-Eau Claire improved to 4-0 with the win and will face fellow WIAC foe UW-Stevens Point in tomorrow's title game.

St. Olaf will play Luther College in the consolation game at 6 p.m.

The Oles were within 16-10 midway through the first half, but the Blugolds went on a 12-0 run and never looked back.
