Men's basketball gets past Martin Luther

NEW ULM, Minn. - Bobby Fong had 13 of his game-best 19 points in the second half as St. Olaf earned a 70-50 men's basketball win over Martin Luther College on Monday night.

Brady McMahon added ten points and seven rebounds in the win for St. Olaf (3-2, 0-1 MIAC).

Aaron Schultz had 13 points and 13 rebounds to pace the host Knights (2-4).

The Oles led by just four at the half, 30-26, after going 2-for-12 from three and shooting 33.3 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes.

St. Olaf then limited Martin Luther to two field goals in the first eight-plus minutes of the second half in a 22-6 run that opened the lead to 20.

The Oles were 3-for-5 from the arc in the second frame.
