Women's basketball falls at UST

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Becky Theisen had 17 points to lead St. Thomas to a 55-46 women's basketball win over St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon.

St. Olaf (1-4, 0-3 MIAC) was within eight late in the second half, but the Tommies used an 10-0 run to extend the advantage and take the win.

Elyse Erickson had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Oles. Jamie Erdahl added ten, all in the second half, in the loss.

Jessica Katch chipped in 12 points for UST (3-2, 2-1 MIAC).

The Tommies struggle from the arc - going 1-for-17 - but made up for it at the free throw line, making 18-of-23.

St. Olaf wasn't much better from three (3-for-16) and missed nine free throws in the loss (7-for-16).
