NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carleton's Annie Isler hit a running layup with 1.8 seconds left to lift the visiting Knights past St. Olaf 62-61 in an MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night.
The Oles' Elyse Erickson, who fouled out with 1:46 left in the game, led all scorers with 22 points.
Isler's bucket offset a pair of clutch St. Olaf shots. The first was a three-pointer from Kelsey Oja, one that broke a 56-56 tie, with 1:15 left.
After Carleton got within two on a pair of free throws, Jamie Erdahl found Terin Euerle for a layup with 31 seconds left to give St. Olaf a 61-58 lead.
The Knights responded with a basket and then fouled Becca Neuger, who missed the front end of a one-and-one to set up the Isler heroics.
Oja finished with 12 points while Erdahl had 11.
Hannah Oken-Berg led Carleton with 16 points and Megan Mileusnic added 12 in the win - the Knights' 16th in the last 19 against St. Olaf.
St. Olaf (1-5, 0-4 MIAC) led by as many as 14 in in the first half, at 24-10, but the Knights went on a 17-0 run to take an early second half lead.
