NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carleton College raced to an eight-point lead in the first seven minutes and never turned back in a 65-47 men's basketball win over St. Olaf on Wednesday night at Skoglund Center.

Zach Johnson had 23 points and five assists to pace the Knights (5-1, 2-1 MIAC).

Carleton by as many as 17 in the first half and by 12, 29-17, at the break. The Knights then used an 8-0 run to start the second half and the Oles were never closer than 15 the rest of the way.

Mark Wieloch and Matt Christensen had ten points each for the Oles (3-4, 0-3 MIAC).

The win was the Knights' second straight against the Oles and enabled Carleton to keep the Goat Trophy. To get the Goat, a team must sweep the season series from the beholder. Carleton has had the Goat since 2003-04.
