ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Olaf junior goaltender Jess Ptachick was named the MIAC's women's hockey player of the week on Monday, after 28- and 31-save performances in the Oles' sweep of St. Catherine this weekend.
With the two wins, Ptachick moved to 3-2-1 in six appearances this season. Her .948 save percentage this winter ranks third in the MIAC overall and her 1.64 goals against average is fifth in the conference.
Ptachick spent two seasons at Division I Bemidji State before transferring to St. Olaf this fall.
St. Olaf (4-5-2, 4-4-0 MIAC) plays a home-and-home series with Hamline University this Saturday and Sunday.
