ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hamline University used three unanswered second period goals in a 6-2 men's hockey win over St. Olaf on Friday night, handing the Oles their first conference loss of 2008-09.

Hamline jumped to a 2-0 first period lead before St. Olaf countered with a goal from Derek Grogan at 15:49 to make it 2-1 into the first intermission.

HU then scored three times in the second -- on goals from Ryan Kupperman, Dustin Fulton and Chris Berenguer -- to take a 5-1 advantage.

The win leaves Hamline (10-3-1, 5-0-0) as the only undefeated squad left in league play.

St. Olaf (9-6-1, 5-1-1), with a series in hand, has a league best 11 points.

The teams meet Saturday in the series final at Northfield Ice Arena at 7 p.m.
