Cobbers down women's hoops

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Concordia College-Moorhead defeated St. Olaf 76-55 in an MIAC women's basketball game on Monday night at Skoglund Center.

Jenna Green had 21 points and Jenna Fruedenberg 16 to lead the Cobbers.

Britta Hendrickson had 12 to lead St. Olaf (3-11, 1-10 MIAC).

The Oles' Elyse Erickson had ten points in limited action. Erickson, the league's leading scoring, fouled out midway through the second half.

St. Olaf led by seven early, at 18-11, but the Cobbers closed the half on a 24-7 run to lead by nine at the break.

Concordia, which has won eight of its last nine, kept pace as one of three teams with two losses atop the MIAC standings.

St. Olaf will try to break its six-game losing streak on Wednesday when it hosts the College of St. Catherine at 7:30 p.m.
