No. 8 UW-Stevens Point tops women's hockey

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Eighth-ranked UW-Stevens Point defeated St. Olaf 5-0 on Tuesday night in a non-conference women's hockey game at Northfield Ice Arena.

Kellye Nelson led the Pointers' scoring with two goals and one assist. Stevens Point outshot the Oles 51-25.

Erin McNamara had 46 saves on the night in a losing effort for St. Olaf.

The Oles face MIAC opponent Saint Mary's University this weekend for a home-and-home series. The teams meet in Winona on Friday night before Saturday's series finale.
